it occures to me, reading over the drivetrain for the original Panda 4X4 that the new Renegade captures the spirit of the first gen pretty well. it even has a similar 4 wheel drive system with a disconecting PTO, and low range provided by a manually selected super low 1st gear and the normal start is done in 2nd. Bodes well
